Description:
The Delhezi Bichir is a stunning, prehistoric-looking freshwater fish that adds a truly unique presence to any aquarium. With its elongated, armoured body, bold green-grey tones, and distinctive dark banding, the Delhezi looks like something straight out of the age of dinosaurs — making it a favourite among collectors and enthusiasts.

Behaviour & Care:
Delhezi Bichirs are hardy, intelligent, and full of character. They’re mostly nocturnal, spending their days resting near the substrate and coming to life after lights out. While generally peaceful, they can show predatory behaviour toward much smaller fish, so choose tankmates of similar size and temperament. A secure lid is essential — these fish are known to jump!

Tank Requirements:

• Minimum Tank Size: 200 litres

• Water Parameters: pH 6.5–7.8 | Temperature 24–28°C

• Diet: Carnivorous — enjoys meaty foods such as bloodworms, prawns, whitebait, and fish fillets

• Temperament: Semi-aggressive, suitable with larger peaceful species
