Shipping Information

At Aqua Life Pet & Aquarium, we’re dedicated to providing you with a seamless shopping experience, from browsing our products to receiving your order at your doorstep. Below you’ll find all the details you need to know about our shipping process, delivery times, and special policies.

Shipping Rates & Delivery Time

  • Standard Shipping:
    Most orders are processed and shipped within 1-2 business days. Delivery times depend on your location:

    • Within Australia: 2-7 business days (excluding weekends and public holidays).

    • International Shipping: At this time, we only ship within Australia.

  • Aquarium Shipping:
    We offer shipping on aquariums up to 2 feet in size. Aquariums larger than 2 feet are available for pickup only. Please contact us for more information if you need to arrange a pickup.

  • Oversized Items:
    Some large or bulky items, such as cages and enclosures, may incur high shipping costs. These items will not display shipping fees during checkout. Delivery costs for oversized items will be quoted separately, and we’ll provide you with a custom shipping quote. Please note that shipping for oversized items can be quite expensive.

  • Free Shipping:
    We offer free standard shipping for orders over $150 within Australia for packages up to 13kg.

Live Plants & Live Bugs Shipping

  • Live Plants and Live Bugs are shipped only on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays to ensure they arrive in the best condition.

  • Live Plants and Live Bugs need to be ordered using Express Postage to ensure they arrive in excellent condition and covered by our 'arrive alive' guarantee. Ordering using Standard Post is at your own risk! and not covered by our guarantee

  • Any plant or bug orders placed after the cutoff time (by 10 AM AEST on Wednesday) will be shipped the following week on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.

  • Public Holidays may effect when Plants and Bugs are shipped, They could be held and sent the following week from when they were supposed to be shipped to ensure they arrive safe. 

  • Please note that we do not ship live plants to Western Australia (WA), Tasmania (TAS), or the Northern Territory (NT) due to state restrictions on plant imports.

Order Processing

  • Orders are typically processed within 1-2 business days, but please allow for additional processing time for live plants and bugs, see previous information.

  • You’ll receive an email with tracking information once your order has been dispatched, so you can track it as it makes its way to you.

Shipping Restrictions

  • Currently, we only ship within Australia. We do not ship internationally at this time.

  • State Restrictions: Due to state-specific regulations, we are unable to ship live plants to WA, TAS, or NT. Additionally, We are unable to ship seed, hay, nuts, bugs etc to WA due to state-specific regulations. some restricted or oversized items may not be eligible for shipping to certain regions. Please reach out to us if you have any questions regarding shipping limitations to your area.

Damaged or Lost Shipments

  • If your order arrives damaged or you believe it has been lost in transit, please contact us as soon as possible. We'll help resolve the issue promptly.
